I have never done NanoWrimo before, though I had heard of it when I was a Freshman at Purdue. I've been to the site before, especially their forums which are a wonderful writing resource, but I have never actually participated in the actual process. So this year, I'm pushing aside all excuses and writing a novel in the month of November.

Well, maybe not the entire novel... You see I've decide that my NanoWrimo will be the sequel to the novel that I have just completed and am in the process of revising. This sequel is going to be more than the 50K that is required to "win" NanoWrimo, but I feel that with have a deadline I will at least be able to complete half of that novel. It took me so long to write the first one, partially because I was world building and the other part being distractions and laziness. I feel that NanoWrimo will keep me on task. It will also be fun, especially since I talked another friend of mine to do it for the first time as well.

Now, all I have to do is fix up my outline and wait for November 1st to roll around .
